Product Overview

The TwinCAT EAP Configurator is a tool for illustrating and configuring communication networks in which data exchange takes place with the aid of the EtherCAT Automation Protocol (EAP). EAP is used for master/master communication. It offers a graphic interface integrated in Visual Studio, with which existing communication connections can be displayed in a clear manner and new communication connections can be conveniently configured. The configuration of the participating EAP devices is read, so that the existing communication links can be displayed. It is then possible to modify the configuration and transfer it back to the EAP devices without stopping the TwinCAT system concerned.
