Product Overview

The APS4224 XPlanar tile measures 160 mm x 320 mm, making it ideal for the one-way operation of APM43x0 movers (measuring 155 mm wide). The long side of the tile is installed parallel to the Y axis of the system. A minimum space requirement for corresponding XPlanar systems is guaranteed. The APS4224 XPlanar tile can also increase throughput and flexibility. Products are accelerated dynamically and travel at highest speed. What’s more, positions can also be approached with repeat accuracy of just a few µm. Dynamic transport and precise positioning are compactly integrated into a single tile. The electrical supply is provided by an integrated power supply unit (3~ 380…500 V AC/24 V DC feed). The power electronics can be switched off safely and separately (STO functionality, APS4224-1100) while the mover position is still detected. This allows easy integration of manual workstations into the XPlanar system without delays caused by long start-up processes. Data communication and the electrical supply are daisy-chained through from tile to tile. Cable connections are facilitated by convenient bayonet fasteners such as the B17 connector.
